Editorial Policy
This page sets out how we research, write, review and correct the content on USA Trump Accounts Guide. We publish it because readers making financial decisions deserve to know what standard the information they are reading was held to.
Our Sourcing Standard
Factual claims about the Trump Accounts program are traced to primary official sources — not to other websites’ summaries of them. In practice that means:
- IRS guidance, notices and newsroom releases
- Form 4547 and its official instructions
- U.S. Department of the Treasury announcements
- Published regulations and proposed rules in the Federal Register
- TrumpAccounts.gov
Where we reference analysis from law firms, research institutions or professional bodies, we do so to explain or contextualise official guidance — never as a substitute for it.
What We Will Not Do
- We do not invent figures. Contribution limits, deadlines, eligibility criteria and tax rules are reported as officially published, or not at all.
- We do not fill gaps with confident guessing. Where guidance is still developing or a detail is unsettled, we say so plainly.
- We do not present opinion as rule. Practical suggestions are clearly framed as such, separate from what the law requires.
- We do not give personalized advice. We are not tax advisors, attorneys or licensed financial professionals.
Dating and Review
Every substantive page carries a “last reviewed” date. This matters more than usual here: Trump Accounts are new, and Treasury and IRS guidance has continued to be issued since the program was created. A page that was accurate six months ago may not be accurate today.
We review pages when official guidance changes, when a reader flags a problem, and on a periodic schedule regardless. When a page is updated for substance, the review date moves. We do not refresh dates cosmetically to appear current.
Corrections
We will get things wrong occasionally. When we do:
- The error is corrected as soon as it is confirmed.
- The page’s review date is updated.
- Where the error was material — a wrong figure, deadline or eligibility rule — we note that a correction was made rather than quietly editing it away.
If you believe something on this site is inaccurate or out of date, tell us. Include the page and, where possible, the official source you are working from.
Independence from Government
USATrumpAccounts.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. Government, the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of the Treasury, or TrumpAccounts.gov.
We hold ourselves to specific design rules to keep that unmistakable. This site does not use government seals or agency logos, does not imitate .gov visual branding, does not present application-style forms, and does not use call-to-action wording that could suggest you are applying here. Links to official actions are labelled as leaving for a government website.
Privacy and Data
We do not ask for, collect or store Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, financial account details or other sensitive personal information relating to Trump Accounts. There is no eligibility form on this site that captures such data, and there never will be. That information belongs only on official government systems.
Advertising and Commercial Policy
This site is free to read and may display advertising to cover hosting and production costs. Our rules on this:
- Advertising is visually distinct from editorial content.
- Advertising is never placed so that it could be mistaken for an official government link, form or account-opening button.
- Advertisers have no influence over what we write, how we explain the rules, or which sources we cite.
- We do not charge readers for anything, and we do not offer paid filing services.
Use of Research Tools
We use research and drafting tools as part of our production process, as most publishers now do. They do not replace verification: every factual claim published here is checked against a primary official source by a person before it goes live. Tools assist with drafting and structure; they do not determine what we assert to be true.
Scope and Limitations
This site explains a federal program in general terms. It cannot account for your particular circumstances — your tax position, your state’s laws, your family’s gifting plans, or whether this account is the right choice for you at all.
For decisions that depend on those specifics, consult a qualified tax professional, attorney or licensed financial advisor. For the official process and authoritative rules, use the government sources listed on our Sources page.
